7.3 Awareness

Clause Criteria

Persons doing work under the organization’s control shall be aware of:
the policy;
their contribution to the effectiveness of the management system, including the benefits of improved performance;
the implications of not conforming with the management system requirements.

Explanation

The intent of the clause is self-explanatory. An organization is expected to present evidence of its own methodology for making relevant interested parties aware of management systems policies and controls.
