7.4 Communication

Clause Criteria

The organization shall determine the internal and external communications relevant to the management system including:
on what it will communicate;
when to communicate;
with whom to communicate;
how to communicate.

Explanation

The intent of the clause is self-explanatory. Annex SL requires communication on the following:

importance of effective management and of conforming to the management system requirements
policy
responsibilities and authorities
performance of the management system
objectives
contribution to the effectiveness of the management system, including the benefits of improved performance
implications of not conforming with the management system requirements
results of audits.
